The CIR’s as we know them are going away for 2009!
Announced during the USGBC webinar on April 28, 2009, The new LEED V3 and 2009 Rating systems will not include the use of the CIR’s. What does this mean?
- If you are working on a V2.2 project for certification, nothing will change (as long as the project is not upgraded to V3). The CIR database will remain available for the duration of your project and may be referenced as a precedent when applying for credits or prerequisites.
-
If you are working on a V3 project (including if you upgraded from V2.2), then the database will not be available for reference and previous rulings may not be used as precedent when applying for credits or prerequisites. CIR’s will be evaluated on a case by case basis, and will not set precedent for future interpretations.
